Notes: This is a temporary, full-time opportunity for a motivated doctor to contribute to the delivery of high-quality neurological care within the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust. The post is available for 6 months from 5 August 2026 in the first instance with the possibility for extension for a further 6 months and will be worked Monday to Friday, 9.00am–5.00pm, with no on-call commitment. The successful applicant will join a supportive and well-established multidisciplinary neurology team, comprising consultants, specialty doctors, resident doctors and an expanding specialist nursing team delivering high-quality services to patients across the Trust. The post holder will be an integral member of the Neurology Service, with a particular focus on supporting the delivery of care within the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Service to the local population. Although this post is not recognised for formal postgraduate training, it provides an excellent opportunity to develop and enhance clinical skills, strengthen a curriculum vitae, and gain experience within a specialist neurology service. The successful applicant will be actively encouraged to undertake quality improvement and audit work, with support to present findings locally and pursue publication in peer-reviewed journals where appropriate. The SETrust MS Team is actively engaged in research, including participation in clinical trials and recruitment to national and international registries, including MSBase, offering exposure to research activity alongside routine clinical practice. This is a full-time post; however, applications are welcome from candidates wishing to work a reduced number of planned activities or on a job-share basis, subject to service requirements.
