Notes: This is a new post. This post is to support frailty and stroke services on the Ulster Hospital and Lagan Valley sites. This includes hyperacute stroke care; provision of thrombolysis for ischaemic stroke; assessment of suitability for transfer of suitable patients for thrombectomy; acute stroke care and early rehabilitation in addition to provision of outpatient neurovascular services. The role also includes prospective cross cover of acute geriatric medicine with in-patient beds and outpatient assessment of frail elderly patients.
