After many years at High Street Surgery, one of our partners is planning to retire in April 2026, so we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed GP to join our friendly and supportive team. The start date is flexible, from the beginning of 2026, job-share would be considered, and the post is salaried with a view to partnership if desired. Established and newly qualified applicants both welcomed. The practice would provide a mentoring role for recently qualified GPs. We have a practice owned premises based in Lurgan town centre, close to both M1 and A1, and just 30 minutes’ drive from Belfast, moving against the rush hour traffic. We look after a diverse practice population of around 10,500 patients. There are 5 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 4 Practice Nurses and a HCA, along with two Pharmacists and a Paramedic attached to the practice. We are a NIMDTA approved GP training practice and have QUB 4th year medical students doing placements with us. We use Emis Web, Apollo and Accurx. We are a well-established practice with an experienced administrative team. Continuity of care is encouraged, and we aim to provide a high standard of care to our patients. The practice has keenly adopted care navigation and workload optimisation. Appointments will be capped at 25 per day, in line with BMA recommendations.
