The Strategic Planning and Performance Group is accountable to the Minister for Health and responsible for the planning, improving and overseeing the delivery of effective, high quality and safe health and social care services for everyone in Northern Ireland within available resources.

The SPPG plans and designs a range of health and social care services that deliver high quality and safe outcomes for patients and service users, are good value for the taxpayer, and comply with statutory duties.

Staff who work for the SPPG are directed by the Department of Health. Employment contracts are hosted by the Business Services Organisation reflecting employment within Health and Social Care NI.
