The Postholder will be responsible for ‘Ageing Well’ as one of 4 key strategic Public Health Areas. Operating at a senior level across both the organisation and wider HSC you will have a lead responsibility for the delivery of the Healthcare Public Health and Health Improvement functions, developing a strategic and integrated approach to drive improvements in population outcomes and a reduction in health inequalities. This is an exciting role within the Public Health Agency where you can make a real difference.

The successful candidate will lead the Ageing well area which is one of 4 key strategic Public Health Areas. You will operate at a senior level across both the organisation and wider HSC and will lead a complex portfolio of work managing multiple and changing demands.

Through delegated authority, you will lead the delivery of key public health targets through development and implementation of inter-agency and interdisciplinary strategic programmes. You will be responsible for the provision of highly expert and definitive professional public health advice to a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally across the Health and Social Care System, providing leadership on a range of complex public health issues.

Within this role you will contribute fully and appropriately to the Agency’s strategic aims, the promotion of the Agency’s values and fostering a culture of collective leadership.
