Notes: Applications are invited for this post specialising in Radiation Safety and Diagnostic Radiology within the Regional Medical Physics Service of the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust. This post would be suitable for candidates with a minimum of an Upper Second Class Honours Degree in Physics or other relevant science subject. The successful applicant will be expected to register on the national Modernising Scientific Careers (MSC) Scientist Training Programme (STP), with the expectation of achieving registration as a clinical scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council on successful completion of the training programme. The trainee will be required to travel to a UK-based university (currently University of Liverpool) to complete the educational MSc component of the training programme. The remainder of the training will be provided by the Medical Physics Service groups located at various hospitals within the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust.
