Notes: This Clinical Fellow post is available from 6 August 2025 or mutually agreed start date in the next 6 months, for a period of 12 months in the first instance. The successful applicant will work as part of a high performance team, to assist in the provision of safe and effective care for patients attending the Emergency department. Emergency medicine is a field of practice based on the recognition and treatment of acute, urgent, and emergency aspects of illness and injury affecting patients of all age groups. Emergency Physicians manage the full spectrum of undifferentiated physical and behavioural emergencies at any hour of the day or night, using both their clinical acumen and appreciation of the wider emergency services as a whole. This post includes non-clinical time dedicated to quality and service improvement within the Emergency Department. The emergency medicine team in South Eastern H&SC Trust has a role in training and developing junior doctors both within the emergency medicine and GP training scheme. It also has a track record of developing juniors who go on to be successful in selection for specialty training. Although Clinical Fellow posts are not recognised for training purposes this represents an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to contribute to a forward thinking Trust in a modern, well-equipped environment This is a full time post, however applications from practitioners who wish to contract for a reduced number of planned activities, or on a job share basis are welcome.
