The Estate Operational Service is often an “invisible” service. The maintenance and repair of buildings, plant, services and equipment is always on-going behind the scenes with our operational teams, keeping all the vital and essential services operational and minimising disruptions.

It encompasses planned, preventative, and reactive measures with up to 100 reactive calls coming into the fault desks each working day. The Estates team is committed to providing high-quality maintenance services and play a crucial role in keeping our hospitals safe and well maintained for our patients, visitors, and other staff.

We're looking for a new Maintenance Plumber and Maintenance Electrician to join our Estates team at Daisy Hill Hospital.

Electrician

Band 4 Maintenance Craftsperson

Duties include working independently or as part of a team, providing comprehensive equipment repair and maintenance service for the Trust, involving complex and non-routine activities to a wide range of engineering plant, equipment and services.

Duties cover a range of electrical work including planned and breakdown maintenance through diagnosing and investigating faults on domestic, industrial single and three phase installations, and undertaking solutions to rectify the faults.

Carrying out minor Electrical installation works across a variety of facilities when required.

Plumber

Band 4 Maintenance Craftsperson

Duties include undertaking repair works and general planned preventative maintenance work on Hospital systems, including day-to-day repairs of plumbing, heating, and mechanical systems to a high standard and in compliance with the relevant regulations.

Day-to-day you'll use be responsible for repairing and maintaining heating, hot and cold water, and plumbing systems across the hospital site. As part of our friendly and highly experienced Operational Team, you will also support other Estates colleagues - including managers, technicians, engineers, and those with other trades - to deliver excellent standards of work and service
