
In this role, you will assist the domestic services and catering teams in providing general cleaning, patient food service and associate duties.
A mixture of shift patterns and hours are available including full-time, fixed working patterns, part-time as well as term-time working, so apply online to find a role that suits you!
No experience is necessary but you will have a good knowledge and understanding of the role itself and of Health and Safety.
A waiting list will be created for future full-time, part-time, permanent and temporary posts that arise over the next 12 months within Antrim Hospital.

Salary: Band 2 (£18k - £20k)
Main duties:
• Floor maintenance duties, using vacuum cleaners and buffing and floor scrubbing machines
• Cleaning of all sanitary areas, furniture/fittings and general dusting duties
• Removal and rehanging of bed screens, curtains etc
• Cleaning of walls, windows, glass partitions etc
• The collection and removal of waste and replacement of waste sacks, hand-towels, soaps, toilet rolls, etc
• Preparation and provision of patient food and beverage service
• Ward kitchen cleaning duties

Criteria:
- Ability to work shifts: Mornings, Evenings and Weekends as applicable
- Ability to work in various locations and Departments within the Hospital
- Willingness to complete: Level 2 CIEH Food Safety Certificate And British Institute of Cleaning Science Certificate (BISC’s).
Skills / Abilities:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team and on your own initiative
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the role of a Domestic Assistant - Knowledge of Health and Safety
