Shannon is a regional Medium, secure mental Health Facility, it has 34 beds and covers the 5 HSCTs in NI. The unit opened in 2005 and has developed safe assessment and evidence-based Quality Treatments within a secure environment with Recovery as the continued Focus of Care.

The Service is made up of 3 wards, that ensure the patient journey is tailored, as a staff nurse you will be part of a ward team but also part of the wider team across the 3 wards Nursing is a key role within the service and you will have the opportunity to complete specific new to forensic Induction and relevant specialist training in relational security, trauma-informed practice and Quality Improvement.
