We are looking for an experienced person who will help to lead and shape the RQIA into the future, ensuring the organisation is a driving force for improvement in the quality of health and social care in Northern Ireland.
The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) provides independent assurance to the Minister for Health and the public on the quality and safety of health and social care services available in Northern Ireland, from both Health and Social Care bodies and independent providers.
Health and social care service provision in Northern Ireland is undergoing a period of intense and far-reaching change. Against this background, the RQIA is seeking to appoint a Chief Executive on a temporary secondment arrangement for two years:
- to work closely with RQIA’s Board in providing the Minister for Health and the public with independent assurance and open narrative on the standards of quality and the safety of services provided;
- to lead the work of the RQIA both internally and externally in the changing and challenging environment in which it operates; and
- as a senior leader within the wider HSC system, to contribute to the Rebuild and Transformation policy development and implementation programme, and any future change agenda as they arise.
