We seek to appoint a talented Assistant Director of Finance & Corporate Services, who will support the Director of Finance & Corporate Services in enabling the Agency to deliver on its strategic goals in the area of Finance & Corporate Services.
As a professionally qualified accountant, you will provide specialist advice to ensure the PHA meets current and future needs in relation to strategic financial strategy, financial planning and financial governance matters.
You will also have lead responsibility for the strategic development, implementation and oversight of the PHA’s Corporate functions including estates and accommodation, health and safety, information governance and business continuity, alongside management of Service Level Agreements including Human Resources, Legal Services and Equality.
The successful candidate will operate with a considerable degree of autonomy and trust, taking a lead role for developing strong rapport and partnerships working with a range of internal and external stakeholders providing organisational wide strategic development of plans and initiatives to ensure funding and Corporate service arrangements are managed efficiently and effectively. They will represent the Agency at regional and national policy forming groups including those at the Strategic Planning and Performance Group (SPPG), local government, the Department of Health NI (DoH) and other statutory partners.
The postholder will lead on delegated duties on behalf of the Director of Finance and Corporate Services and may be required to deputise when required. The postholder will provide leadership to staff working in Finance Team, and Corporate Governance & Operational Service Team; holding overall responsibility for line management of those within these teams. In undertaking their role, the postholder will ensure they contribute fully and appropriately to the Agency’s strategic aims, the promotion of the Agency’s values and fostering a culture of collective leadership.
