We are now recruiting dynamic and motivated Consultant Gastroenterologists to join our team based in Craigavon Area Hospital.

Here you will provide inpatient care, but you will also provide outpatient services at one of our other locations, including Daisy Hill Hospital, South Tyrone Hospital, Armagh Community Hospital or Banbridge Polyclinic.

Endoscopy services are also provided in Craigavon Area Hospital, Daisy Hill Hospital and South Tyrone Hospital.

In this role you will :

• share inpatient general medical cover, in a ‘Physician of the Week’ model, on a 1 in 7 rota

• share cover for inpatient referrals, inpatient endoscopy and triage, in a ‘Gastroenterologist of the Week’ model

• supervise junior medical staff in their duties

• be involved in the teaching and training of medical students and junior medical staff

• maintain professional standard and obligations as set out by the General Medical Council, complying with the GMC’s guidance on Good Medical Practice

We welcome and will fully support those with Subspeciality interests such as, but not limited to, ERCP, IBD, capsule endoscopy, hepatology therapeutic endoscopy or nutrition.
