Belfast Trust is seeking qualified Social Workers to work in our Family Support and Looked After Children Services.

Our Family Support Services provide a range of services and interventions to children in need of support and/ or safeguarding. The Family Support Service puts children, young people and families at the heart of what we do. We work with children and their parents/ carers using a strengths based, safety orientated approach with a focus on empowering and strengthening families throughout the safeguarding process to enable children, where possible, to remain within their own families.

Our Looked After Children Services carry responsibility for Children aged 0 -18 years, placed within foster care, residential care, kinship placements and home, subject to legal orders or voluntary accommodated.

As part of the LAC team, our Leaving Care and After Care Service (LCAC) provides care for young people who have left care up to the age of 21, or extended to 25 if they are in education. This is a team of highly motivated social work and social care staff who support young people through sourcing accommodation, providing advice and guidance re Substance Misuses, mental ill health and homelessness.
