Notes: The Community Paediatric Service in the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust is recruiting four specialty doctors to work alongside Consultant Community Paediatricians. The Community Paediatric Team covers the Belfast Area with services delivered across the city in three Health and Well Being Centres. The replacement posts will include work in the child development clinics, special schools, ADHD, epilepsy and general community Paediatric clinics. The successful applicants will work alongside consultants who will supervise and provide training in Community Paediatrics. The Community Paediatric Service currently has a role in the education and training of Paediatric trainees with several of the Consultants being recognised trainers within Belfast HSCT. The department is active in Audit and QI. There will be opportunities for successful applicants to become involved in quality improvement work through Belfast HSCT. Consultants within the service currently take a local and regional role in the development of services for children in the areas of Palliative care, ADHD, ASD, feeding and epilepsy. The department has supported very successfully previous post holders who have transferred from the Paediatric training programme or general practice.
