Notes: As a development post, those employed at the band 6/specialist grade will work through competency frameworks that pertain to the post, these will include; - RCSLT Dysphagia Competency Framework NI AHP Advanced Practitioner Framework RCSLT Professional Development Framework. Upon successful completion of the agreed criteria, and if achieved within the agreed timeframe, clinicians will progress to a band 7/advanced practitioner level. Competency sign off must be achieved no later than 4 years following commencement of the development post. (Exceptions to this will include staff who have had periods of extended leave including; - maternity leave, prolonged sick leave) A failure to achieve the required competencies within this timeframe will result in the clinician being retained at the band 6 grade.
